When you were a kid, what career did you want to have?
In my elementary school scrapbook, my career goal each year is either cowboy or hockey player. At that point, anything to get my restless body up and out of my chair would have been attractive. During high school and university, landscape architect was my dream career. After 15+ years of exposure to career assessments, career decision making models, and occupation information, I’m still convinced that landscape architecture would be a pretty good fit.
What do you do at Career Cruising?
I do whatever needs to be done to ensure we’re developing and supporting resources that will help move first-class career development from being “nice to have” for most people to “must have” for everyone.
What do you love to do outside of work?
With three young kids, my time outside of work is filled with cooking meals, walking to school, driving to activities, family outings, dispute resolution, tidying up, reading children’s books, etc. I can’t imagine anything better.
